  • About John R. Carlisle

    As owner of Carlisle Educational Services, John (J.R.) Carlisle commands more than 25 years of experience in education. He began his career as an instrumental and vocal music teacher with the Federal Hocking Local Schools in Ohio, where he created high school-level choir and jazz programs. Then transitioning into a similar role with the Greeneview Local Schools, John Carlisle continued to promote music and increased program participation from 70 to 240 students.

     

    Recognized for his capacity to lead, John Carlisle assumed the role of instrumental music coordinator with the West Carrollton City Schools, where he strengthened the program's reputation on a state and national level. From this position, he continued to innovate in arts and humanities programs across Ohio. As humanities community principal at Colonel White High School in Dayton, he redesigned scheduling and programming while improving attendance by 7.3 percent and graduation rates by 27.4 percent.

     

    In a subsequent role as principal of the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, John Carlisle continued to increase attendance and graduation percentages. Also optimizing scheduling, facilities, and funding, he increased state standards performance, as well as performance opportunities for students. Mr. Carlisle continues to leverage this comprehensive knowledge of arts education and administration to benefit client schools across the United States.
